- A gray cat slinks past a wooden house. There’s something a little intimidating attempting to describe.
Born 1976, Perugia, Italy.
Photography came into my life as I was 10, as my aunt, offered to me a camera for communion.
I am a self educated photographer, learning first in fashion and technical magazines… Then, for six years I’ve been working as a photography printer ; these beautiful years taught me a lot about printing and postproduction: « The negative is the equivalent of the composer’s score, and the print the performance. » (Ansel Adams)
I decided to do my own pictures and express myself by this way…
I love creating photographic stories of simple people and everyday’s life, trying to shoot with respect and discretion. Aesthetics is not the most important, but more authenticity .
Each story makes me progress : behind a person you can discover a world that can lead you to new thoughts and emotions.
I travel and work in foreign countries, had some special works in Cambodia, Cuba, Haïti.
In Cambodia, I did a work about S21 and victims of génocide, and shared this through exhibition and book at Palazzo Arti Napoli in Naples (November 2014).
I live today between France and Italy, travelling as much as possible, researching stories and emotions, shooting also weddings everywhere in Europe in summer.(www.arcangeliphotowedding.com)
